ABOUT NAHEB
Welcome to the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HEBREWS!
NAHEB is a culturally social and professional association founded to improve the lives of the Hebrews in the United States through all lawful purposes; including but not limited to immigration, citizenship, education, professional skills enhancement, business & employment opportunities, and cultural refreshment. Membership is restricted to people born to at least one parent of Hebrew descent who trace their origin to, and physically identify as being from among, the people of “Kush” (Genesis 2:13) or the continent of Ethiopia as it is historically known. The Association is voluntary and nonprofit and is led by the founders, represented by an appointed president.

VISION OF NAHEB
– Creation of financial institutions that we control in order to achieve our mission
– Develop a forum for the discussion of issues related to Hebrews in the United States
– Cooperate with other institutions/organizations to provide workable solutions to socio-economic issues of Hebrews in the United States
NAHEB has 9 Main Focus Areas….
1. Access to capital and loans: To put in place a Credit Union that will primarily serve the interest of the members – the
Proposed Hebrew Federal Credit Union is our flagship initiative
2. Advocacy: promote awareness of social concern, advocate, and assist the Hebrew people achieve a reasonable level of sustainability in the community
3. Education:
To articulate educational problems, needs, and issues related to Hebrews.
4. Networking:
To hold meetings, and to actively engage in network-building with local, state, and national organizations for the purpose of securing changes in those laws and policies detrimental to our constituencies.
5. Business Creation: To assist and provide resources that will help Hebrews create and operate businesses in United States.
6. Employment:
To assist in establishing effective institutional programs to recruit and retain Hebrew students, teachers, faculty, and professional staff in United States.
7. Cultural Refreshment: To assist in the promotion of the history and culture of Hebrews for cultural, educational and public information purposes.
8. Scholarships: to issue scholarship to undergraduate and graduate students of our community
9. Distributions: To make distributions to Hebrews organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code
Meet the NAHEB Team
The NAHEB team is comprised of ALL cross sections of Hebrews from Africans, Afro-Latino, Afro-Caribbean to African American business professionals from around the country. Our National Executive Team, a State Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson and our City Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson are motivated to see our community empowered, established and prosperous.
